Terms of use

How the product may be used, and what an agent acting on your behalf is and is not allowed to do.

The full document is being prepared and is not available on this site. Until it is, this page describes what is already true of the product rather than standing in for the document with text nobody has reviewed.

What holds today

  • An agent acts as the member who set it running. Its permissions are that member's permissions, never more.
  • Sensitive actions can be put behind an approval. A gated run waits for a person and attributes the answer to them.
  • Content an agent reads from a file, a web page or a connected tool is treated as data, never as instructions it must follow.
  • You are responsible for what you connect. Consul reads the tools you point it at, under the access you grant it, and no others.

The mechanisms behind these are described on the security page. For anything this page does not answer, get in touch.
